This workshop is the 20th workshop in the series of biannual Workshops on Stochastic Geometry, Stereology and Image Analysis. These workshops constitute a principal forum for researchers working with random geometric objects. Since the beginning, the workshops have focused on both, the consolidation and advance of the title disciplines, and their development as valuable tools in a number of applied fields.

The upcoming workshop will have longer talks by invited speakers and shorter contributed talks by participants, as well as a poster session. The invited speakers are

  • Rémi Bardenet (Lille)
  • Valentina Cammarota (Rome)
  • Elisabetta Candellero (Rome)
  • Peter F. Craigmile (Columbus)
  • Frédéric Lavancier (Nantes)
  • Thomas Richthammer (Paderborn)
  • Patrick Rubin-Delanchy (Bristol)
  • Vincent Tassion (Zürich)
  • Benjamin Taylor (Lancaster)
  • D. Yogeshwaran (Bangalore)

Time and venue: 2-7 June, 2019, Sandbjerg Estate, Denmark

The workshop homepage http://csgb.dk/activities/2019/sgsia2019/ contains information about important deadlines and how to get to Sandbjerg. The homepage will be currently updated.

Registration opened December 1, 2018. Deadline for registration is March 1, 2019. The registration fee is EUR 400. A limited number of travel grants are available for young researchers upon application.

We would like to draw your attention to the 15th International Conference on Stereology and Image Analysis that takes place at Aarhus University just before this workshop, May 27-30, 2019, see http://conferences.au.dk/icsia2019/. Participating in both events (possibly part of the conference and the workshop) is a unique opportunity to get insight into both the theory and the applications of the title disciplines.
